KAA-MaCC Virtual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & 8th Anniversary Celebration
In celebration of our theme for this year, “Building Our Future on a GR-eight Foundation,” the Kannapolis African-American Museum and Cultural Center, Inc. (KAA-MaCC) Hall of Fame will recognize the commendable service of three individuals during our Virtual 8th Anniversary. This virtual celebration, to be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 7 p.m., will premiere via our YouTube channel. KAA-MaCC will induct the following individuals for Lifetime Achievement: Mrs. Betty J. Bruner Alston, a retired educator who was the first African American to serve on a Cabarrus County Board of Education, Mr. Leroy Clarence Hill, a pioneer in business and human service, and Mrs. Geneva Wilson Johnson, an educator who operated one of the first Head Start programs in Cabarrus County.
